garden dreams

by erin

This gorgeous Minnesota spring plus my 3L restlessness means I've been spending a lot of time staring out the window and making plans for summer.  One of these plans is to garden.  I have big dreams of filling my garden with delicious fruits and vegetables and to 'live off the land' all summer.  Whether I will actually succeed at this remains to be seen (I've apparently inherited a skill for killing anything green) but I'm going to try.  I also may invest in a few of these darling Anthropologie accessories, which will surely make failure a little less painful.

Draughtsman Gardening Gloves - I always wear gardening gloves because I hate touching bugs and worms.  What can I say, some things you just don't grow out of.  The design on these almost make them too cute to cover in dirt!

Landlubber Gardening Set - be the most stylish dirt-digger on the block!

Island Orb Planter - for all you container gardeners out there.

Topeng Hanging Pot - bringing the flowers to your front door, this is available in three colors.

Seed Bombs - the easiest flowers you'll ever find. Just toss the bombs into your garden and you'll have a bird, bee, and butterfly-friendly crop of wildflowers specially designed for your region!

and, my favorite...
Vintage Garden Markers made from recycled silverware! I can barely stand it!

Whether you're a seasoned green thumb or, well, green at gardening, I urge you to give it a try.  It's a great way to eat healthy and fresh, and it will save you money and grocery trips.  If you don't have the time or space to grow a garden, invest in a CSA or buy from your local farmer's market.  You definitely won't regret it!

Yes! I'm definitely intrigued to see if that works or not. It's supposed to keep bunnies out, right? Will it keep puggles out? ;)
